Spicy Creamy Tomato Pasta

What you need:
- 1/2 lb. fettuccine pasta, uncooked
- 2 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/2 cup onion, finely diced
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 1/2 cup BREAKSTONE’S Cottage Cheese
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. fresh oregano
- 1/2 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
How to make it:
- Cook pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, omitting salt. Reserve 3/4 cup of pasta water before straining.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in large saucepan over medium heat. Add onion, garlic and crushed red pepper; cook 3 to 4 min. until crisp-tender, stirring frequently. Remove from heat.
- Process onion mixture with cottage cheese, tomato sauce and oregano in food processor until smooth.
- Return sauce to pan. Simmer on medium-low heat 10 min. or until slightly thickened. Add cooked pasta and reserved water; stir. Cook 5 min.
- Top with Parmesan cheese.
